The rule · matches agreement v2026-09-08
Your customers, your leads and your data are yours. D2D acts only for your business and only through the doors you authorize. D2D does not sell or redirect your leads to another contractor unless you separately opt into a program that explicitly permits it. You can disconnect a door and export your data.
Every sentence above has a mechanism behind it. Here is each one, and where it lives. No badges — the code and the agreement are the proof.

The business number customers call is a D2D-managed number operated for your business: your selected phone rings first; if no one answers, D2D sends the caller your booking link. A number you already have is touched only with your written authorization (for example, if you choose to bring it into D2D-managed service). If you leave, you can keep the business number: D2D hands it to the carrier you choose through the carrier's port-out process — a manual, D2D-assisted transfer; the carriers set the date. The exact steps are on your Connections page.

You keep your mailbox and your login. You create a rule that forwards a copy of service inquiries to a private D2D address that belongs to your business alone. Delete the rule and D2D stops receiving copies that minute.

One link on your site points at your branded booking page. Replace the link and D2D is gone. If an old link is still out there after you leave, it shows your public number and site for at least 90 days, never a dead page.

Everything that enters through your doors is stored under your business only. You can export it yourself, any time, as CSV or JSON from your Owner's View. Archived data is deleted after 12 months.

Each door — phone, texting, email, website — is authorized by you separately on your Connections page, with the exact access, behavior and disconnect written out. D2D cannot mark a door connected before you authorize it, and you can take any door back from the same page.

The routing engine refuses to offer a lead to any other contractor unless your business has a separate opt-in switch turned on, and the database refuses the row even if the software forgot to ask. That switch is off by default and an emergency does not turn it on. If nobody on your team is reachable for an emergency, D2D pages you — not another company.

Every request carries the door it came through and every automated or staff action on it is written to its timeline. Your Owner's View shows that trail, door by door: request received, link sent, booked, technician assigned, a failed message surfaced.

Two named people operate the desk. Each signs in with an individual code; every sign-in is logged with device and time; sessions expire. They access your records only to operate the service.

Each door is authorized separately and can be taken back on your Connections page; when you take one back, D2D stops capturing through it that minute. Your export is yours, any time. Month-to-month, cancel anytime: a text or an email stops the next renewal, service runs through the end of the period you've paid for, no notice period, no fee. Leaving D2D is a written, step-by-step handoff: active jobs are finished or handed to you, your data is exported, the business number is transferred to your new carrier if you want to keep it (or parked for 90 days pointing people to you), your email rule and website link are undone on your own accounts, and your archive is deleted after 12 months. Each step names who does it — you or D2D.
Where: lib/doorGuard.ts (a revoked door stops capture) · lib/activation/index.ts offboardingPlan · agreement §10 · app/api/sms/inbound (parked line reply)
Intercept text messages sent to a cell-phone number. Carriers do not allow anyone to host the texting of a wireless number elsewhere, so texts to your own cell stay on your cell. That is why your customers get a D2D-managed business number: calls to it ring your selected phone first, and texts to it are answered in your business name. A number you already have is touched only with your written authorization.
Set the date a number transfers. If you leave and keep the business number, the transfer runs on the carriers' schedule: your new carrier submits the port, Telnyx (D2D's carrier) acknowledges within 3 business days, and a simple port-out typically completes about 2 business days after that; toll-free numbers follow a separate RespOrg process. D2D's part — the account details, the signed authorization, and approving the request within the carrier's 24–48 hour window — is done by a person, not a button. Text-message registrations do not transfer with a number; your new carrier registers it again.
Guarantee carrier delivery. D2D tracks the delivery state carriers report and never lets a job-critical message fail silently, but a text through a carrier outage cannot be promised.
